Lanseria International Airport (FALA) is starting major roadworks to build a new Cargo and MRO Precinct. This will affect access to our facility over the coming months.
What is changing
- From 27 July 2026 to 1 December 2026, Preller Drive (into Airport Road), Main Avenue and the current C Boom Gate will be closed on the south side of the airport.
- All vehicles will enter via the northern entrance, B Boom Gate, instead.
- Security at B Boom Gate will operate as it currently does at C Boom Gate, with an additional visitor permit or QR code check at Gate 10 (no scanning required).
- Gate 13 will have no security checks, so those using the back road to our facility will not be stopped twice.
- B Boom Gate is being widened to two entry and two exit lanes to keep traffic moving during construction.
What this means for you
Once the works are complete, the new C Boom Gate entrance will have separate dual lanes for entry and exit, giving faster, smoother access to our facility, especially during busy periods.
If you would prefer to depart from the main terminal rather than our facility on the south side at any point during the works, please give our team advance warning so arrangements can be made. Please allow extra travel time while the new routes bed in. We will keep you updated as work progresses.
The visuals below show the road closure plan and detour route, the locality plan for the Cargo and MRO Precinct, and the locality and proposed layout of the new C Boom Gate.
